Zack went 16 - 8 on the season with an 2.16 ERA the best in the majors. While striking out 242 batters along the way, also pitching 6 complete game, and 3 shutouts. The National League Cy Young was released on MLB.com on November 18 ,2009 and the winner was "The Freak" Tim Lincecum of the San Francisco Giants. Tim went 15 - 7 with a 2.48 ERA while starting a maximum of 32 games a starting picther could go under 5 days rest. He also threw 4 complete games, and 2 shutouts. And leading the NL once again with 261 Strikeouts. Spectacular work kid! ... will Tim go for his third next season?
