The New York Yankees have defeated the defending champs Philidelphia Phillies. Therefore they are now the new champs of Major League Baseball. Ledaing the majors with the best record coming into the playoffs and spending approximately $441 million dollars during the offseason on new free agents. The Yanks were expected too win a championship and they did just that along the way proving all haters wrong the Yanks are still the best tean of all time winning number 27 world championship.
